Well, given the current election, things may be getting better for cyclists but it looks like the streets are still going to be clogged by inefficient internal combustion vehicles.  So sad to see the hope for such progress on one side of the coin and yet total stagnancy on the other.  John Dingell (D-MN) is wasting the opportunity presented him as the chairman of the House Committee on Energy and Commerce.  He’s apparently is concerned more about the concerns of the plight of his district’s automotive workers than he is about the sustainability of transportation.  Progress has been proposed, but it’s going to be slower than we need.  Proof that just as all Republicans aren’t bad, all Democrats aren’t good.
